The time is now...

Some encouragement not to procrastinate (Which by the way, is
something I'm guilty of too often). The statement that 'God helps
those who help themselves' isn't scripture, nor is it entirely
correct.

However, we do often need to take an action in order to open the
door of opportunity for Him to work. Let's face it, if all of us
ignored the '$7k links' when we saw them... none of us would be here.

This is what happened to me today. Right after the call today, I
followed up with someone on my warm-list. First of all, he is
interested. But must importantly, he invited me to attend a power-
lunch on Friday where many local business owners get together to
network and fellowship. Wow! An awesome opportunity for me to get
exposure.

Now here's the procrastination lesson... his RSVP deadline is
today. I was ready to start some work around the house after
today's Team call. Had I not taken those few minutes to send him an
email before I got busy with those tasks, I would have missed the
chance to attend this luncheon. But, I was proactive and now God
has the opportunity to do something wonderful as I network with
these fellow business owners on Friday.

Blessings,
Pastor Todd.

No spirit of Fear

http://www.successchurch.org/Audio/SuccessLight_21.mp3

This is a wonderful audio devotional about not having fear.

YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING

There are no real barriers to your success.
You must overcome any doubts you have about your ability.
Your self image prescribes the limits for your accomplishments.
It prescribes the area of what is possible for you.

Don't be afraid of living.
Your belief that life is worth living will help you create the fact around you.
If you see yourself as prosperous, you will be.
If you see yourself as continually hard up,
that's precisely what you will be.

You can never succeed until you believe you can succeed.
Everything is possible if you believe.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

I normally don't read newpapers but somehow
something pushed me to scan the pages until I found this very
powerful prayer to the Holy Spirit. This prayer was published
unanimously by a certain TAC(God bless him or her for sharing this
prayer)

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, replace the tension within us with a holy
relaxation, replace the tubulence within us with a sacred calm.
Replace the anxiety within us with a quiet confidence. Replace the
fear within us with a strong faith. Replace the bitterness within
us with the sweetness of grace. Straighten our crookedness. Fill
our emptiness. Duff the edge of our pride, sharpen the edge of our
humility.
Light the fires of our love.. Quench the flames of our lust, let
us see ourselves as you see us. That we may see you as you have
promised.
O Holy Spirit, soul of my soul, I adore you. Enlighten, guide,
strengthen and console me. Tell me what I ought to do and command me
to do it. I promise to be submissive in everything that you permit
to happen to me, only show me what is your will.

May the Holy Spirit touch your hearts,

YOUR DAILY MOTIVATION

Saturday, February 4, 2006

SUCCESS IS WAITING FOR YOU

To achieve your goal in life, you need to project your end result. Carve out a niche for yourself in your imagined future. Begin immediately to think of and feel yourself as successful.

Focus on your future, not your past. Prepare for your future, don't live in the past. Relish your good memories and use any bad ones as lessons in life.

Sooner or later, those who win are those who think they can. The cards you're dealt in life are less important than the way you play them. Every day you're going to face a new deck and new cards.

Think of the elation, the satisfaction, the joy you'll feel, when you've achieved your objective. Carry these ecstatic feelings with you every day and they will bring your desired goals into view.

Your future is a grand adventure.

Let God Strengthen You

The quote; "We need to be strengthened and renewed on a daily basis."
We need to be strengthened physically, mentally, and emotionally. We need to be strong so we do not fall apart every time we have to face some situation we had not planned on. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. . . . We can be strengthened and renewed by drawing strength from God, by exercising our faith, and by doing what He tells us to do." . . . and the Scripture verse; "My life dissolves and weeps itself away for heaviness; raise me up and strengthen me according to Your Word" Psalm 119:28 Although strengthening ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally is critical for us on a daily basis, what is even more significant in our lives is that we be spiritually strong. In the book of Ephesians, the apostle Paul wrote to the people of Ephesus, a major city in Asia near the Aegean Sea. The church of Ephesus served as an example of establishing a community of faith in an increasingly urban and fallen world. He warned them of the vast forces of evil doing battle against God and his people and advised what we must be spiritually strong. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms". Ephesians 6:12. These biblical principles directly apply to our business. Strengthening ourselves spiritually and putting on the full armor of God will prepare us for situations we had not planned on and protect us in advance. As we go through challenges in our business on a daily basis, draw close to God, be strong and allow the Word of Truth to strengthen you in everything you do. Have a blessed weekend, Dennis Lasini www.genesisresearch.com

Today's HomeWord for 2/2/06 - Plugging In

Today's HomeWord for 2/2/06 - Plugging In Plugging In This devotional was written by Jim Liebelt And so we keep on praying for you, that our God will make you worthy of the life to which he called you. And we pray that God, by his power, will fulfill all your good intentions and faithful deeds.— 2 Thessalonians 1:11 (NLT)

Not long ago, I was traveling in southern California on business. I had set up shop at my office-away-from-office, Starbucks, and was in the middle of a minor work-related crisis, when my laptop’s battery went dead. I had left the power cord back at my hotel, so there was nothing I could do except to pack everything up and leave.

More and more, we are a culture that is dependent upon technology. I find that I rely a lot on technology today. Like many people, I have a cell phone, a laptop and a digital camera. These are great tools that I have learned to depend on from day to day. So, there’s no surprise that these electronics are dependent on… electricity. I pretty much run my electronic “tools” on battery power, and generally, it’s not a problem. Yet, if you are at all like me, then you’ll agree it always seems that it’s at the worst possible moment – when I really need to use that camera, make a call on my phone or send off one more email from Starbucks – that the batteries inevitably go dead. It’s so frustrating!

Okay, I know better. I bring it on myself! I understand that I ought to keep on top of my battery charging, but I just can’t seem to get around to it. I think I ought to have learned by now that I need to keep these tools charged, especially when I can anticipate times when I have tasks that I need to make sure are completed. Perhaps anticipating the need is the problem, and is exactly where I run into trouble.

This is a simple, average life experience that has a profound spiritual parallel. We understand we are totally dependent on God to empower us to live life as faithful Christ-followers. We know that we have to stay plugged in to the power source in order to be able to face the day-to-day challenges that life throws our way. Yet too often we fail to anticipate our spiritual need. We disconnect and attempt to live life in our own strength. And just when we most need God’s life flowing into ours, we find that our spiritual batteries are dead. Then we experience the remorse that comes from knowing better.

Fortunately, God’s power to recharge our lives is not far away. We don’t have to shut everything down, pack everything up and wait for next Sunday’s church service. We can access God’s power wherever we are through prayer. We can find strength in His Word. We can find support and empowerment through His people.

Today, if you find your spiritual batteries are running low, don’t wait. Wherever you are, plug in!
